Our family loves a good grilled cheese! My husband is a pro at the simple kind. We've tried all sorts though. This time, I've combined all my favorites into one and it turned out great! I also tried to make it a little bit healthier than normal as well.
Ingredients:
Whole Grain Bread
Cheddar Cheese
Apples, sliced
Sun Dried Tomatoes
Bell Peppers
Onion
Pesto Sauce
Mayo
Directions:
Spread mayo on two pieces of bread. Put one side down on the preheated pan. I usually cook mine at medium to medium low heat. Spread about a tablespoon of pesto on the bread. Top with cheddar cheese, apple slices, sun-dried tomatoes, bell pepper and onion slices. Add another piece of cheese and put the other piece of bread on top, leaving the mayo side up. Grill until desired time.
